Turquoise Waters & Hidden Caves
Escape the city for a day and soak in the turquoise waters of Grutas Tolantongo, a spectacular valley where thermal springs flow directly from the mountainside. You’ll have plenty of time to lounge in the famous cliffside infinity pools, relax in the natural spa, and paddle along the steaming thermal river that carves through the canyon floor.
We leave before sunrise and have you back at your hostel that evening. Doing this independently usually means an overnight stay and a fair bit of planning. We’ve sorted all of it, with comfortable round-trip transport and entry tickets included.
Your host for the day is a professional geologist, who breaks down the history and science behind these natural wonders as you explore, along with the local Hñähñu culture and the myths and legends tied to the site.
